We will tell you what to do to get results in your lost pet search, and give you hope! We will never tell you to give up. We understand that your beloved pet is a family member and we provide support and encouragement.
We specialize in lost pet cases where the owners have tried everything without results. We have creative and new solutions to lost pet cases, even if you are suspicious that someone has your pet.
In some cases, we can search in-person with Search Dogs on a limited basis, or refer you to someone with Search Dogs.

Our Lost Pet Services Include
REFERRAL PROGRAM & SEARCH DOGS
We offer coaching via email and phone, and on a very limited basis in-person searches with Search Dogs. If you have a lost pet, please contact us. If we aren't available in-person, for a small fee we refer your case to at least two people, businesses, or volunteer groups with Search K9s for lost pets. They will give you honest feedback about your case and a quote, if applicable. Our referral program is to connect you with resources only and is not a recommendation.
EMAIL COACHING PROGRAM
We offer email coaching with a lost pet recovery expert. They will guide you step-by-step through creating a customized plan of action, sharing resources and supporting you in executing a plan to greatly increase the chances of finding your pet. Our Referral Program is available when we aren't able to offer in-person services in your area.
EBOOK & GUIDES
Our Lost Dog Recovery Guide and Lost Cat Recovery Guide can provide a cost-effective and detailed plan of action for finding your lost pet.

Tips for Finding Lost Pets in Ohio:
- Network with churches – ask for them to include your lost pet in the Sunday prayers and on their social media page. Put flyers on car windows in parking lots on Sundays to reach lots of people.
- Talk to your immediate neighbors – don’t just put a flyer in their mailbox. You need to ask them questions and ask for permission to search their property for your lost pet.
- Don’t stop your search too close. In many parts of Ohio there is farmland and large rural areas. Pets can get further away. Don’t just look close to home.
- Offer a specific dollar amount reward.
- Visit All Nearby Shelters In Person
- File Reports with Local Authorities. Report your missing pet to your county’s Animal Control and non-emergency police—especially if you’re on the border of multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintain Hope & Stay Organized. Search consistently for at least several weeks. Make routine visits to shelters, update flyers, refresh social media posts, and respond promptly to tips. Many reunions happen after persistence.
